This Privacy Policy explains how Nursing Homes Malaysia (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use this website, consistent with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

Information we collect

• Technical / server data — we do not run our own analytics or tracking on this site. Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) automatically generate standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and requested page) as part of operating their infrastructure and keeping it secure. We do not otherwise track individual browsing behaviour.
• Information you provide — if you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the role you select (family member, operator or other) and your message, so that we can respond to you.
• Location — if you use “Near me”, your browser may share your location with your consent, used only in your browser to sort results by distance. We do not store it.

How we use information

• To operate, maintain and improve the directory.
• To respond to messages sent through our contact form, including listing corrections and claims.

We do not sell your personal data.

Directory listings

Facility listings (name, address, licence status, contact details) are compiled from the public JKM Pusat Jagaan registry and operators’ own websites. This is public business information, not personal data about you.

Service providers

We use third-party services to run the site, including hosting (Vercel) and a database (Supabase). When you tap a “Get directions” link, you are taken to Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps, whose own privacy policies then apply. These providers may process data on our behalf or under their own terms.

Cookies

We do not currently set any tracking or analytics cookies on this site. If that changes in future, we will update this policy first. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time.

International data transfer

Our hosting provider (Vercel) and database provider (Supabase) may store and process data on servers located outside Malaysia. By using the Site, you acknowledge that limited technical and, where applicable, contact-form data may be processed internationally by these providers on our behalf, under their own security and confidentiality safeguards.

Your data protection rights

You have the right to request access to, and correction of, personal data we hold about you, and to limit its processing. To make a request, please use our contact form.

Data retention & security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and take reasonable steps to protect it. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.
